Hi all, My name is James Steven Fraser I was born in Glasgow June 3 1960. My fathers name is James Lesley Fraser he was born in Glasgow on the 3rd July 1933. My mothers name was Anne Mcload Huey. We moved to Australia in 1964. I do not have much to go by my mother is deceased and dad does not remember to much, if anyone out there has stumbled accross our names anywhere I would love to hear from you. Regards James.

James Fraser (1834) married Emma Howard (1838) married 1st Feb 1859 Yass. Possibly had these 8 children; Edwin John 1869, Alice Maud 1870, Albert J 1864, Alexander William 1874, Arthur H 1877, Florence H 1867, Emma Emily 1873, Arthur Howard 1880. Any help would be appreciated.CJ

My great great grandfather was Edmound Fraser. Born 1842. He married Catherine Courtnry in 1875 From Westport New zealand. There children where,Kate, Mary Olive, Vincent, Charles Edward, Edmond Courtney ( grandfather), Helena, Mary Julia, Arthur.
I believe that Edmund Fraser Come from Tasmania Australia. I think we may be related

Anybody from the Sydney area that are, or know of descendants of James William Fraser, born Broomehill, WA, 1905.
I would like to add the branch to the family tree.
My father John (1909-1991) was James' younger brother.
The family consists of Father James William Fraser, wife Elizabeth (nee Hayward), James, Muriel, Robert, Sheila, John, Colin, Mary Elizabeth.

Hi Judy,

I am unable to find anything on Alice other than i know her birthdate and deathdate.
I was with her when she died. I miss her so much.
I did find records saying they all lived at one time at 99 guildford road guildford. I remember the house as nana use to walk me to the bank.

General Discussion:: How and When did Peter Fraser DOB 25-12-1849 arrive in Australia?
Hi Everyone

I am proud to have been born a FRASER. I am trying to trace my family history but seem to hit the proverbial wall when looking for the date and how, my Great Grandfather came to Australia.

His name is Peter Fraser - he was born on 25 December 1849 at Forres, Morayshire in Scotland.

Must have been a bit of a romantic as he married Catherine Mcdonald in Australia on 14 February 1879 at Floradale in Victoria.

Peter and Catherine had 9 children -
Donald;
Catherine;
Mary;
Alexander;
Peter;
Christina;
Thomas;
Colin and
Ann.

As far as I know Catherine moved to Queensland and selected land for the children when her husband Peter died in 1916.

Could any family or anyone who knows how Peter came to Australia please let me know. If you would like more information, please let me know.
